Meet Shelby Snyder

Mental Health Therapist, LCSW

Shelby (she/her) pursued a career in social work after being deeply inspired by the core values of the profession, specifically social justice and dignity and worth of a person. She brings this multidimensional, compassionate, curious, and sometimes humourous approach to each therapy session she engages in and believes in the innate goodness (and messiness) of her clients and fellow humans. As a therapist, Shelby utilizes modalities such as ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS, and self compassion to help her clients navigate life's challenges, find empowerment, and safety within themselves.

Shelby has worked in many mental health settings, including a domestic violence shelter and more recently with individuals struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. She hopes to serve individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, those who identify as Autistic, ADHD, or neurodiverse, folks in need of support during life transitions, or anyone who hopes to find a better understanding of their inner world.

In her free time, Shelby loves to spend time with the people she loves (both human and animal alike), baking, eating, listening to audiobooks, and anything creative.

Arches Healing and Growth aims to provide a multicultural space that is inclusive and accessible to people of all cultural backgrounds and welcoming of their gender identities, religion, race, sexual orientations, disabilities and immigration status to facilitate and create a safe haven for healing and growth.
