Our therapy groups can help you feel more comfortable with your identity, navigate issues with family members, and provide support in the face of discrimination or intolerance.

    Ongoing. Virtual.

*Please note that this excludes the group held at the Utah Pride Center (in person) on the 1st Wednesday of each month.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At Arches Healing & Growth, our group therapy sessions provide a supportive community where individuals can share experiences, learn from others, and grow together. Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to connect with people who are facing similar challenges, whether it’s anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or personal growth. Led by our experienced therapists, each group fosters a safe, confidential environment where participants can gain insights, build empathy, and receive support from peers. Whether you’re looking for connection, healing, or new perspectives, group therapy is a powerful way to feel less isolated and more empowered on your journey toward wellness.

  • Online support groups and in-person group therapy are excellent additions to individual therapy. While a mental health counselor can work with you one-on-one, it may help to connect with other people experiencing similar mental health issues. This is especially true for marginalized people.

It’s easy to feel alone when you’re navigating a difficult road. Support groups can provide a sense of community and help you connect with your peers. There is no need to reinvent the wheel to solve every problem; sharing experiences can reveal what has worked for others.

You can find community in many places. What makes group therapy different is a skilled facilitator and trained therapist, who guides the group through the journey and centers the work on best practices.

  • Many people find group therapy helpful. It is especially effective for people with marginalized identities or folks who are all navigating through similar problems. This may include LGBTQ+ people, folks experiencing religious trauma, and those struggling with substance abuse.

There is so much healing to be found in gathering with others to share your wins and discuss your challenges. It can be a relief to recognize you’re not alone and that other people are dealing with the same obstacles you’re facing.

  • Group therapy sessions at Arches Healing & Growth are insurance-based. We accept PEHP, Aetna, SelectHealth, BCBS, and EMI. We also offer groups with self-pay rates. Those rates are $20 per group.

Coverage for group therapy varies depending on your individual insurance plan. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm your specific benefits, copay, and deductible before enrolling.

If you have questions about using insurance or verifying coverage, our team can help you navigate the process.

Arches Healing and Growth aims to provide a multicultural space that is inclusive and accessible to people of all cultural backgrounds and welcoming of their gender identities, religion, race, sexual orientations, disabilities and immigration status to facilitate and create a safe haven for healing and growth.
